This School Held Arrangement Meeting for Initiation of Teaching and Scientific Research Labs

At 4 p.m. , Apr. 10, this School held the arrangement meeting for initiation of teaching and scientific research labs through Tencent Meeting System to discuss and arrange the opening of the labs in order and the safety management of the labs. Qu Xianghua, the Secretary of the Party Committee, Ding Huafeng, the Dean of this School, the experimental technology safety leading group, the lab working group, the deputy director of each department, the person in charge of the experiment center and the safety inspection group and other related persons attended the meeting. The meeting was presided by Wen Guojun, the deputy dean of this School in charge of the labs.

Wen Guojun, Deputy Dean, firstly conveyed the spirit of the “Arrangement Meeting for Initiation of Teaching and Scientific Research Labs” held on Apr. 8 in our University, then required all departments and experimental centers to arrange personnel to be on duty as soon as possible, submit the initiation plan and work schedule within one week according to the arrangement of the University, study and arrange the initiation measures based on the current situation, and assign responsibility to relevant personnel. The specific initiation work included: epidemic disinfection, checking the working conditions of water, electricity and equipment, understanding and keeping up with the progress of teaching and scientific research, lab safety inspection, application of experimental programs, etc.

Ding Huafeng, the Dean, stressed that in recent months, although the outbreak of COVID-19 had seriously affected our normal teaching, we must initiate our teaching and scientific research labs according to the overall arrangement of the University under safe conditions. Qu Xianghua, the Secretary of the Party Committee, proposed and stressed that the courses and graduation papers of students in engineering departments were inseparable from experiments. We should make good preparations and return to work on time, and arrange on duty personnel. The experimental center and experimental teachers should let our students understand the experimental procedures and gain practical ability through simulation experiment courses, live recording, video display and other forms. Later, the attendees discussed the preparations for initiation of labs and a series of specific issues for catching up with the teaching and scientific research progress and the safety inspection of labs.
