The First Class of Class 07D224 in the New Semester: A Message of Hope and Self

At 7:00 on the evening of April 9, organized by Class Adviser Cheng Yiwei, Class 07D224 enjoyed a happy gathering and held a sharing meeting of "A Message of Hope and Self". On invitation, two senior students, including Hou Yufan successfully recommended to Beijing Institute of Technology for a master's degree and Li Zhipeng signing a labor contract with BYD shared their experience in postgraduate recommendation and employment.   

Hou Yufan shared his own experience in postgraduate recommendation in terms of specific requirements on postgraduate recommendation, professional competition, academic challenge competition and students affairs. He introduced his learning experience in details, explained his experience in how to upgrade the grade point average, how to participate in the professional competitions and how to balance the learning time and the students affair time, and stressed the active participation in the large-scale professional competitions and academic challenge competitions to upgrade the learning and improve themselves through the competitions. Hou Yufan, in combination with his own learning experience in the undergraduate period, also encouraged the schoolmates to overcome the indolence, reasonably planned the learning time, improved the learning efficiency and studied hard for a beautiful future.

Li Zhipeng shared his experience in career choice and employment after failure of postgraduate entrance exams. He said that he was not collapse after the setback, in fact, he continued to seek for the opportunities and signed a labor contract with BYD in February and acted as the structural design engineer. He made three suggestions to the students: first, deeply thinking which one was more suitable for ourselves between a master's degree and employment and doing well in learning and career planning as soon as possible; second, training the independent ability to obtain the information, and collecting and understanding related information about employment as early as possible; third, being confident. Being firm in confidence at any time and calmly dealing with all challenges in career choice and employment.   

Class Adviser Cheng Yiwei pointed out, the students should make full use of the spring and autumn employment opportunities, actively understand the employment information of each company, actively ask for the experience from the senior students and accurately capture the latest market demand for this specialty. He encouraged the students to plan their undergraduate life as soon as possible, train their ability to obtain the information and try for making the best choice for the coming graduation season.
