Joint University-Enterprise Volunteering Activities

On March 3, the volunteer service activity on the theme of “Youth Volunteering for Learning from the 20th CPC National Congress” was held in Nanwang Community, Guanshan Street, Wuhan City. Two volunteer service teams from Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. of Chinese Construction Third Engineering Bureau and the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) jointly promote the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and province convenience services in the community.

The volunteer service teams prepared knowledge Q&A and red songs recognition activity, and the residents enthusiastically participated in the quiz. Volunteer services included guidance on the use of smart phones, home network maintenance, voluntary tutoring, etc., to solve problems for community residents.

When they learned that there were sick elderly people living alone in the community, the volunteers also took the initiative to visit them and provide twinning service, so that they could contact the volunteers for services when they need.

“The joint volunteer services carried by enterprise and university in the community is a vivid practice to advocate the spirit of Lei Feng. We welcome more young volunteers to come to the community and pass on the spirit of Lei Feng.” Li Huiping, secretary of the Party Committee and director of the neighborhood committee of Nanwang Community, said.

After the volunteering activities, Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. of Chinese Construction Third Engineering Bureau donated 100 books to Nanwang Community, including Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, Volume III, to enrich the “cultural granary” for community residents.
