On the morning of March 10, the employment promotion meeting for students of Grade 2019 taking postgraduate entrance examination was held in Room 301 of No. 2 Teaching Building. Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School, and undergraduate students of Grade 2019 taking postgraduate entrance examination attended the meeting, which was presided over by Ms. Luo Caiwei, the student employment specialist of the Student Affairs Leading Group of the School.

Ms. Luo Caiwei briefed the students on postgraduate entrance and employment situation. She said that the competition in postgraduate entrance examination this year is still fierce, and students who have scored on the edge of the national line in the preliminary examination need to adjust their target positioning in time, take the initiative to collect regulating information and contact relevant universities for consultation; while in the process of preparing for regulating, they should also pay attention to corporate recruitment information in real time and prepare for both sides. For students with unsatisfactory exam results, they should learn to slowly change their thinking, try bravely, pay attention to recruitment information through multiple channels, and actively participate in special job fairs organized by the school and the university.

Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School, affirmed the hard work of the students in this postgraduate entrance examination, and introduced the overall situation of the postgraduate entrance examination of the school this year. She emphasized that students who are not sure about their exam results should adjust their mindset in time, prepare for both regulating and hunting for a job, make clear future plans according to their actual situation, take the initiative to collect recruitment information submit resumes. She said that students must take the initiative to communicate, listen to the opinions and suggestions of teachers, parents and seniors, make comprehensive analysis and judgement based on their own situation, do not be presumptuous or blindly optimistic, and it is very important to find their own position clearly and accurately. She encouraged the students to have a long-term vision and a big picture, adjust the concept of employment and contribute to the west and to the grassroots frontline.

After the meeting, Ms. Luo Caiwei gave detailed answers to some students’ questions one by one, and encouraged them to try actively whether they are regulating or hunting for a job.
