CUG Grassland Concert Singing "A Good Voice for the Youth"

 On the evening of Mar. 12, the spring breeze was still cold, but it could not block off the burny enthusiasm of about 1000 young undergraduates from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). with the union of the camping tent and the green grassland, they held a concert on the playground.  

Beside the stage enclosed by two audible devices and a light strip, the students sat around, opened and shook the phone light and sang together with the singers now and then.   

The programs on the stage were unusually brilliant: Ma Xiaochen, the general champion of "Looking For the Star of Yangtze River" Wuhan University Students Love Song Competition in 2017 would graduate with doctoral degree this year, looked back to every bit of life with his tutor in the past ten years and sang his original song "My Teacher and I", "You light up for me all the way and you are my luckiest youth". Ouyang Yuting and Zhou Jingyi, the excellent singers in Wuhan EOM (End of Month) Concert & University Students Love Song Competition in 2019 and many student bands active on the campus of CUG sang on the stage in succession. The cheerful and light-hearted songs activated all of the students around the stage.   

The grassland concert arranged a link of "Random Singing by the Passersby" and attracted many students who want to and like to sing.    

Some international students from Pakistan, Indonesia, Bengal, East Timor and Tonga and other countries was teamed up and sang "Friends" together with the audiences and wished a long friendship and prosperity of their motherlands; He Jun from Wuhan University sang on the stage on his own initiative and invited the students of CUG to pay a visit to the cherry blossom in Wuhan University, thus initiating the heartedly interaction of the students of both universities; Ma Li, a pupil from Nanwangshan Primary School also took up the speaker with them and her sweet voice was so cheering. At last, both teachers and students on the site sang loudly "A Song for the Explorers", with best wishes for a more beautiful future of CUG after 70th anniversary.    

the concert was live broadcast in Bilibili and other network platforms and attracted nearly 10000 persons to watch the programs in the past 3 hours.   

    It was reported that the grassland concert was sponsored by this School. This School has been always paying attention to the aesthetic education and continuously improving the aesthetic judgment and humanity qualities. Since 2013, it has continuously sponsored the aesthetic education brand activities: university students love song competition to call on the young students to sing the love song for the motherland and compose the youth into the era. In 2019, at the time of 70th anniversary of P. R. China, "Love Song Competition" transcribed the theme MV I'm Here for the Powerful Generation together with the singing champions from 8 universities in Wuhan, which became a "popular song" in the campus and expressed their deep patriotism.
