The First Regular Meeting of the Student Affairs Leading Group of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in February 2023 and Spring Semester Work Arrangement Meeting

At 10:30 a.m. on the morning of Feb. 14, the first regular meeting of the student affairs leading group of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in February was held in the Conference Room 502 of No. 2 Teaching Building. Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School, presided over the meeting, and all counselors of the student affairs leading group attended the meeting.

I. Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, arranged the work for the new semester

1. Convey the spirit of the regular work meeting attended by the deputy secretaries of schools of the University, and make overall arrangements the research of students’ ideological trends in the spring semester of 2023 and a series of education and guidance activities themed “First Class of New Semester”, requiring the work to be implemented and effective.

2. Take the study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress as one of the key contents of the annual student party building and ideological and political education work, highlight the strengths, and take multiple measures to promote the full coverage of the study.

3. According to the characteristics of students and the actual situation of grade work and block business work, plan the annual student work arrangement scientifically in combination with the annual work points of the University and the School.

4. We will make great efforts to promote the employment of the graduates in 2023, and conduct detailed mapping of the students who have taken postgraduate entrance examination, regularly update the employment progress data and the work account of students with difficulties in employment, and regularly compile the employment briefing.

5. Repeatedly strengthen students’ integrity education, safety awareness education and mental health education, and enforce the examination discipline, so as to ensure the students’ physical and mental health and property safety.

6. Insist on entering the classroom and visiting the dormitory without interruption, listen to students’ opinions and suggestions, strengthen positive education and guidance, and create a positive learning and living atmosphere.

7. Adhere to the regular work meeting system for class teachers, timely exchange and discuss the work and student situations, and effectively play the important role of class teacher in the growth of students.

8. Promote the twinning and navigating activities between faculty and student Party branches, and strengthen the quality and effectiveness of work.

9. Focus on the summary and condensation of work to further enhance the awareness of proactive advocacy.
