School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information Holds the Second Session of Education Activity on the Theme of “Learning from the 20th CPC National Congress and Forging Ahead in the New Era”

On the afternoon of December 1, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information held the second session of education activity on the theme of “Learning from the 20th CPC National Congress and Forging Ahead in the New Era” at Room 301 of No. 2 Teaching Building. Yu Xiaozhou, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, gave a special report entitled “Study, Publicize and Implement the Spirit of the 20th CPC Party Congress and Establish a Correct Concept of Ideological Security”. Undergraduate representatives of Grade 2022 and representatives of student party cadres of the School attended the report meeting. The meeting was hosted by Liu Biao, a counselor of the School.

Starting from the report of the 20th CPC National Congress, Yu Xiaozhou focused on the four aspects of “great changes in the new era in the past ten years”, “opening up a new realm for the Chinese modernization of Marxism”, “the mission of the CPC in the new era and new journey”, and “new deployment in twelve aspects” in combination with the theme and framework of the report, and called on the students of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information to consolidate their ideological foundation, strengthen their historical confidence and enhance their historical initiative in deeply understanding the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress.

Yu Xiaozhou said that the safeguarding national security runs through all aspects of the work of the Party and the State, ideological security is an integral part of national security, and the establishment of a correct concept of ideological security is of great significance to the overall promotion of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. In the Internet era, young students should be deeply aware of the challenges faced by ideological work, clarify the characteristics of various problems, make targeted identification of potential problems, and grasp the historical initiative in the main battlefield of the ideological struggle, the Internet.

Yu Xiaozhou gave a detailed explanation on how to improve our ideological ability. First, from a theoretical perspective, we should continuously improve our ideological capabilities in four areas of enhancing ideological discernment, strengthening theoretical innovation, deepening consensus cohesion, and improving discourse dominance. second, the cultivation and practice of socialist core values should be internalized into conscious pursuit and externalized into conscious action; third, when finding problems, we should be willing to show our sword, dare to show our sword, and be able to show our sword, so as to build a strong national security defense in our study and life.
