Regular Meeting the Student Affairs Leading Group of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in November

At 10:00 a.m. on Nov. 22, the regular meeting of the student affairs leading group of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in November was held in Room 502 of No. 2 Teaching Building. Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the School, chaired the meeting, and all counselors of the student affairs leading group attended the meeting.

I. The participants reported and exchanged information on recent visits to student dormitories, lectures attendance, real-time data of students in school and their ideological trends

II. The participants reported and exchanged views on recent work

1. Du Yu, Secretary of the Youth League Committee and graduate student counselor, reported on the convening of the special work meeting of postgraduate Party branch, Youth League branch and class committee, the convening of the Youth League Committee meeting of the school, the selection of outstanding and top ten undergraduate class teachers at university level, the “patriotic health campaign to celebrate the 70^th anniversary of CUG”, science and technology paper presentation of the school, preparation for the launching ceremony of robot competition and science and technology culture festival, promotion of the alumni experience sharing conference of the lectures on “My Growth in CUG”, campus environmental cleaning volunteer service activities, class opening and training of Xiangyang Youth League School, promotion of the study of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress for league organizations and league branches, social scholarship evaluation for postgraduates, deeds publicity of postgraduate national scholarship winners, and “Zhaoyang Cup” Basketball Match for postgraduates.

2. Ding Yufeng, the instructor of the Student Union and student awards and subsidies, and counselor of Grade 2021 and 2019, reported on the work of heart-to-heart talks with students, Party membership check, the selection of university-level advanced class collective pacesetters, the promotion of student proposal competition, the preparation for the School leaders’ reception day, the evaluation of various scholarships, the implementation of discipline split-low of Grade 2021, the employment promotion of Grade 2019, and the planning of graduation season activities.

3. Luo Caiwei, the employment specialist, safety and mental health education instructor, and counselor of Grade 2022, reported on the holding of class teachers working meeting, dormitory heads meeting, students' mental health education series training, psychological interview with students, the gratitude alma mater activity of Psychological Association, the continuous follow-up of the employment work of graduates in 2022, and the promotion of employment work for graduates in 2023.

4. Liu Biao, the Party building instructor and counselor of Grade 2020, reported on the holding of class teachers working meeting, the holding of a special meeting for student leaders of the grade, the holding of regular meeting of party branch secretaries, statistics and reporting of student epidemic prevention and control information, the evaluation of various scholarships, the student party branch and retired staff party branch twinning and piloting activities, the promotion of party building activities on the theme of “Learning from the 20th CPC National Congress and forging ahead to a new era”, the lecture on the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, the recruitment of Party members and probationary party members become full members,  focused training on the recruitment of party member and material filing, arrangement of Party member material archives, preparation of application materials for the “one school, one work” party-building brand project of the university, and the promotion of the 73rd training course for party activists and the 27th training course for development candidates.

III. Yu Xiaozhou, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, listened to the reports and made arrangements for the near term

1. We should continue to promote the study, publicity and implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, improve the program for students to study, publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China as soon as possible, highlight the highlights, and take multiple measures to promote the full coverage of learning.

2. According to the recent epidemic situation, we should continue to strengthen the warning of epidemic prevention and control and nucleic acid testing for students at school, adhere to the approval principle of not going out unnecessarily, and accurately grasp the information of students at school.

3. We should establish an emergency team for students and comprehensively strengthen the epidemic prevention and control, to effectively ensure their health and safety.

4. We should revise and improve the basic civilization construction plan of the school as soon as possible, and call on all students to jointly create a clean and tidy dormitory environment.

5. As long as the epidemic prevention and control policy allows, we should carry out more featured sports activities to enable students to move in a flexible and diverse way to promote physical and mental health.

6. We should continue to do a good job of heart-to-heart talk, help students with academic and psychological difficulties, and establish standing books to effectively relieve the students’ difficulties in growth.

7. According to the results of the previous lectures, we analyze the problems and rectify them effectively in time. At the same time, we should constantly strengthen the publicity and education on examination style and discipline, and promote the construction of the academic style of the school.

8. It is necessary to promote the year-end summary work in a timely manner, do a good job in sorting out the work, and strengthen the summary and condensation.
