Regular Meeting the Student Affairs Leading Group of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in October

At 11:00 a.m. on October 28, the regular meeting of the student affairs leading group of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in October was held in Room 502 of No. 2 Teaching Building. Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the School, chaired the meeting, and all counselors of the student affairs leading group attended the meeting.

1. Du Yu, Secretary of the Youth League Committee and graduate student counselor, reported on the planning of the education program on the theme of “Learning from the 20th CPC National Congress and Forging Ahead in the New Era”, the recruitment of volunteers for the university anniversary, the development of student league members, the preparation of a series of activities for the Science, Technology and Culture Festival, the curriculum arrangement of Xiangyang League School, the negotiation of the program for December 9th chorus competition, the implementation of the alumni experience sharing meeting of the series of lectures on “My Growth in CUG”, and the evaluation of the postgraduate scholarship.

2. Ding Yufeng, the instructor of the student union and student awards and subsidies, and counselor of Grade 2021 and 2019, reported on the holding of the working meeting for class teachers, the evaluation of various scholarships, the investigation of the intention on discipline split-flow of Grade 2021, the construction of the employment assistance system for Grade 2019, the planning of graduation season activities, the sports meeting of the School, the promotion of the university anniversary array, the guidance of associations, and the students' healthy development talks.

Luo Caiwei, the employment specialist, safety and mental health education instructor, and counselor of Grade 2022, reported on the holding of the working meeting for class teachers, the sorting of employment data of graduates in 2023, the preparation of employment briefing, the organization of the school-level special job fair, the promotion of psychological census, and the development of document on emergency handling of the School.

Liu Biao, the Party building instructor and counselor of Grade 2020, reported on the holding of the working meeting for class teachers, the regular meeting of the party branch secretary, the evaluation of various scholarships, the heart to heart talk with students with academic difficulties, the centralized listening and watching of the opening session of the 20th CPC National Congress, the symposium on learning the spirit of the report at the 20th CPC National Congress, the promotion of the themed study of the 20th CPC National Congress, the arrangement of the series of educational activities on the theme of “Learning from the 20th CPC National Congress and Forging Ahead in the New Era”, the promotion of the 26th training class for development objects, promotion of the transfer of organizational relationship for Party members among graduates in 2022, and the report on the conclusion of key topics of Party building of the University.

II. Yu Xiaozhou, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, listened to the reports and made arrangements for the near turn

1. We should take the study of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress as the key work for the current and future periods, adhere to the combination of prescribed actions and optional actions, and take multiple measures to promote the full coverage of the study.

2. While doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, we should do a solid job in the preparation and organization of various activities for the university anniversary.

3. It is necessary to plan and promote year-end summary and all kinds of merit evaluation work in advance, highlighting the highlights and refining characteristics.

4. We should do a good job of helping students in the “four difficulties”, establish standing books, and effectively relieve the difficulties for students to grow up in a healthy way.

5. We should continue to focus on student employment, make good use of the data of employment intentions, and promote the employment of all students.

6. It is necessary to strengthen the daily education management of students, continue to go deep into the class to attend lectures, go deep into students’ dormitories to communicate with them, and keep abreast of the student situation.

7. It is necessary to strengthen the training of student leaders, improve the vitality of students, and guide students to spend their campus life with full spirit and high spirited attitude.
