The First Regular Meeting of the Student Affairs Leading Group of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in April
At 10:00am on Apr. 13, the first regular meeting of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in April was held in the Conference Room 502 of No. 2 Teaching building. Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the School, presided over the meeting, and 5 full-time counselors of the student affairs leading group attended the meeting.
I. Participants reported the work progress and exchanged views
Du Yu, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Graduate Student Association and innovation and entrepreneurship instructor, and graduate student counselor, reported on the visit to dormitories and laboratories, implementing the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and security and stability, holding the postgraduate Party and League class backbone meeting, improving the social practice plan of "The Road to Manufacturing Power" and the layout plan of student creative space, holding the graduate students employment sharing salon and other fellowship activities, promoting the May Fourth Appraisal of the School, preparing the content related to the 70th anniversary of CUG, and selecting the members for the classes of Young Marxist Training Project of the School and University.
Luo Caiwei, the mental health education and employment instructor and counselor of Grade 2018, reported on the visits to the students’ dormitories and heart-to-heart talks, implementing the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and security and stability work, holding regular meetings of class teachers and class monitors, promoting the graduates employment work of 2022 and the series of activities in graduation season, formulating the plan of contacting and visiting employers, and carrying out one-on-one career counseling and employment resume guidance for students.
Mamat · Aierken, the student scholarships and grants instructor and the counselor of Grade 2019, reported on visits to the students’ dormitories and heart-to-heart talks, implementing the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and security and stability work, holding regular meetings of class teachers, completing the comprehensive assessment of the grade, mapping the students' employment intention, and preparing for the grade basketball game.
Liu Biao, the Party building instructor and counselor of Grade 2020, reported on the visits to the students’ dormitories and heart-to-heart talks, implementing the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and security and stability work, holding regular meetings of class teachers, revising the monthly evaluation plan of Party branches, formulating the action plan for pioneering role of student Party members, carrying out the "I do practical work for the mass" and the joint Party branch theme day for graduate students, completing the online assessment of the 24th development target training class, electing the delegates to the 12th Congress of Hubei Province, and holding regular meetings for Party branch secretaries.
Ding Yufeng, the deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee, the instructor of the student union and counselor of Grade 2021, reported on the visits to the students’ dormitories and heart-to-heart talks, implementing the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and security and stability work, holding regular meetings of class teachers, promoting the mask design competition for the university celebration, carrying out chess competition and kite flying activities, starting monthly reports of each class, completing the comprehensive grade assessment, promoting the May Fourth Appraisal of the School, and summarizing the characteristics and effects of the special work under his charge.
II. Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party committee, listened to the reports and arranged the work for the near term
1. Communicate the spirit of the party-government joint meeting, and ask all grads to do a good job in explaining the policy for postgraduate recommendation and postgraduate entrance examination as well as the education and management.
2. Take the second-round examination for master candidates and job hunting as an opportunity to further improve the training of basic defense skills and interview etiquette for students of the School.
3. Carry out twinning and piloting activities, give full play to the work advantages of retired veteran cadres, and promote the quality of student party building work.
4. Develop a series of education and activity programs for graduates, and carry out meaningful education activities when the epidemic situation allows, so as to further enhance the sense of belonging of graduates to the School.
III. Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party committee, put forward specific requirements and guidance for the counselors to summarize their own work characteristics and highlights, sort out the existing work effectiveness and relevant experience, and form a shareable working paper.
