The spring breeze in March warms people's hearts, and the spirit of Lei Feng is passed down from generation to generation. In order to vigorously carry forward the voluntary service spirit of "dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance and progress" and actively practice the core socialist values, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information launched the activity of “Learning from Lei Feng in Action” on March 5. Under the organization of the backbone students and party members of this School, the students carried out a comprehensive cleaning of the living, learning and working spaces such as bedrooms, workrooms and laboratories.
Students bought along mops, brooms, rags and other tools to clean the rubbishes, wipe the dust, and organized the items in their respective responsible areas. Everyone had a clear division of labor and performed their own duties, showed an enthusiastic and positive spirit, and carried forward the spirit of Lei Feng of being not afraid of dirty or tiredness. After the cleaning activity was completed, the students sorted the cleaned-up waste and confirmed the safe and orderly storage of the laboratory items.
Chen Qiaolan from the Youth League Branch of Class 075194 said: “Through the cleaning, our bedroom takes on an entirely new look. Living in a clean, tidy and bright environment, we are happy and full of happiness. Through this activity, we are deeply aware of the importance of maintaining the sanitation of the bedroom. At this critical moment when the epidemic is repeated, we will continue to maintain good habits and maintain good sanitation of the bedroom.”
Li Yani from Party Branch of Class 2020-3 said: “As a probationary Party member, it is the first time I have participated in the collective labor activity of learning from Lei Feng. During the labor, everyone is enthusiastic and actively wipes equipment, sweeps and mops the floors, and tidies up the desks and the chairs. I hope to create a more clean, hygienic, bright and warm experimental environment for the students. Through this activity, I have experienced the hardships and glory of labor.
