About Them
With the purpose of "serving students wholeheartedly", the Growth Service Department of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) actively provides students with basic life and sports and fitness services, and provides a platform to help students achieve growth in various aspects.
The main functions of the Growth Services Department are to be responsible for work related to the growth and development of students in the school, to guide classes to create a healthy and quality learning and living environment, to carry out the basic civilization construction of the school, and to organize various sports activities. In the past year, the Growth Service Department paid attention to the basic civilization and physical health of students in our school, successfully completed the exercise and dormitory check, and successfully held many activities such as the selection of civilized classes and excellent life secretaries, the "Freshman Cup" basketball game, the "12·9" long-distance run, the fluorescent night run and the sports meeting of our school. Members always keep in mind the great call of "civilizing their spirit and brutalizing their physique" to help students of our school achieve all-round development.
Coexistence of Rigor and Warmth
In order to improve the comprehensive office skills of the department members, the Growth Service Department has provided various trainings for them; in order to improve the working ability of the department members, they hold regular department meetings. At the meeting, they summarized the problems encountered in their work and discussed appropriate solutions, as well as completed the deployment of their recent work. In daily study and life, department members shared learning materials and experience to jointly solve problems encountered in learning. With the joint efforts of the whole department, while the achievements of department members remain excellent, their working ability has been continuously improved. The growth service department has become a small, disciplined and warm family.
Serving the Students Wholeheartedly
In terms of basic civilization construction, the Growth Service Department has arranged daily exercise and bedtime checks, conducted several training sessions for life secretaries, developed an evaluation mechanism for life secretaries, and created a dynamic database for morning exercises. In addition, they regularly carry out the selection of mobile red flags, civilized classes and excellent student members.
In sports, the growth service department has established the class sponsorship system, organized the sports meeting of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, the "Freshman Cup" basketball game, participated in the "12·9" long-distance running of the university, and organized the registration of fluorescent night running. In the organization of various sports activities, the members of the Department cooperated tacitly, which fully demonstrated the cohesion of the growth service department.
Looking to the Future
For the common development of the department, the Growth Service Department has set the following goals: the initial goal is to improve the quality of morning exercises and enhance the level of morning exercises; the medium-term goal is to help students cultivate good living habits by holding a dormitory culture festival and various sports activities; the long-term goal is to further improve the ability of the department members, improve the construction of the department, and create a more welcoming Growth Service Department. Their ultimate goal is to inherit the culture of hte department and carry forward the good tradition, so that the Growth Service Department can become an excellent department with warmth and poise.
