Realizing personal value is never confined to one way

Whether it's the ordinary "back wave" pursuing their dreams
The dedicated workers
Or soldiers defending the frontier
They are all writing the chapter of the times with brilliant ink and brush
The ambitious Wu Yiheng

Chose to join the army as a soldier

Carrying the moral righteousness and protecting China

/// About Him ///

Wu Yiheng is a student of Grade 2017 in Information and Communication Engineering of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, China University of Geosciences. During his duty as a guard for special plane, he carefully performed his duty and found a screw of the same type as the plane and reported it to the station, thus avoiding a bigger accident, and was praised at the military conference of the whole station.

Whether in the army or in daily life, Wu Yiheng is a down-to-earth and simple man. "There are no trivial matters on the special plane, and everything is connected with politics." This is not only the division motto of their army, but also his attitude towards work. After returning to school from the army, he actively devoted himself to various studies, worked hard to learn professional knowledge, and was unanimously recognized by teachers and classmates.

On the way to pursue his dream, Wu Yiheng, who was about to become a graduate student, enlisted in the Air Force as a new recruit because of a paper call-up with full of enthusiasm. "Drinking ice for ten years is hard to cool blood" is a perfect interpretation of Wu Yiheng's two-year army life. Despite the difficult conditions and training of the soldier company, he remained passionate and disciplined. Wu Yiheng not only performed well in daily training and duty tasks, he also actively participated in the corps' cultural and artistic activities, showing a vigorous and youthful style.

As Lin Qingxuan said, "People who can't focus on grasping this moment are definitely not able to grasp the future.” During a daily night patrol, Wu Yiheng discovered the potential safety hazard brought by a small screw, avoiding a bigger accident and achieving the goal of "focusing on the moment".

In campus life, Wu Yiheng also often dives into his studies in the library. He is focused and efficient in his studies, and quickly returns to student life and adapts to the pace of school life. We should look up to him, improve our concentration, and work and study in a down-to-earth manner.

/// His View on "Influence" ///

Q: What do you think one person's influence can change?

A: I think a person's influence can subconsciously change the views of people around them about something, or even change the perceptions and attitudes of others.

Q: What do you think your influence can bring?

A: I hope my influence will attract more students to learn about the red culture and revolutionary spirit, or to choose to join the army without regret, as I did. Of course, I will actively publicize the revolutionary spirit, and tell others about my army life, so that others can better understand the bloody pride of the Chinese army and continue the revolutionary spirit of our ancestors.

/// His Feelings ///

The military camp can exercise one's will. During the two years in the army, I gradually transformed from an ignorant youth to a passionate soldier. These habits enable me to concentrate on my studies and study hard, which will benefit me for the rest of my life.

I hope that all of you can develop the same habits as I did, to be disciplined in life, and at the same time, to take the initiative to learn about the red culture and revolutionary spirit in addition to studying professional knowledge. I hope everyone can become a college student with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor.
