At 19:30 p.m. on June 10, 2021, Duan Linna, national certified career planner and career guidance planner, was invited to give the “2022 Employment Guidance Course - Resume and Interview” at Room 109, No. 3 Teaching Building. The lecture was presided over by Gu Jiarong, a part-time counselor, and Duan Linna was the speaker.
First, Duan Linna stressed that the resume should be eye-catching and “one core (ability) and two principles (matching and relevance)” were needed when filling in the resume. The students should flexibly use STAR rule to add attraction to their resumes.
Then, she explained how to show ourselves in the resume. She divided the resume production into six parts and analyzed one by one with rich case comparison, which vividly and intuitively showed the brevity, pertinence and result orientation of excellent resume. In her explanation, she stressed that resume writing must follow the three elements of “format-expression-customization” to reflect personal ability, and use digital expression to avoid fuzziness. She also reminded students to pay attention to the time axis of enterprise recruitment, and to seize some golden time period to deliver the resume.
Finally, Duan Linna gave a detailed talk on different forms of interviews. She stressed that throughout the preferences of the world’s top 500 enterprises, interviewers needed to highlight their analytical judgment ability, interpersonal skills and work attitude. In addition to the general requirements, she introduced the individual interview, group interview and even emerging AI interview, and summarized the common interview questions and answers. Meanwhile, she emphasized the importance of keeping calm in answering, as well as the importance of language logic and constructing a good atmosphere.
