Second Regular Meeting of the Student Affairs Leading Group of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic information in March

At 13:00 on March 11, the second regular meeting of the student affairs leading group of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information in March was held in Conference Room 502, No. 2 Teaching Building. Yu Xiaozhou, deputy secretary of the Party committee of our School, presided over the meeting, and all counselors of the student affairs leading group attended the meeting.

I. Participants reported and exchanged the recent work

Du Yu, Secretary of the Youth League Committee and graduate counselor, reported on the application and selection of China Youth May 4th Medal, the formulation of the activity plan for celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the volunteer service activities in Lei Feng month, the registration of college student associations, and the submission of works for “Challenge Cup” National Undergraduate Curricular Academic Science and Technology Works by Race, the application and selection of Changjiang Student, promotion of graduate employment and regular meeting of graduate monitor, work arrangement meeting of graduate student union, and the work meeting of Graduate Working Committee, etc.

Ding Yufeng, the instructor of the student union and counselor of Grade 2017, reported the progress of the preparations for the games, the overall promotion of undergraduate employment, the consultation and assistance for students taking the postgraduate entrance examination, the follow-up of key unemployed objects, and the visit to dormitories.

Luo Caiwei, the employment instructor, mental health education instructor and counselor of Grade 2018, reported on the work of contacting key employers, talking with students with learning difficulties, and visiting students’ classes and dormitories.

Maimaiti·Aierken, the instructor of student scholarships and grants and the counselor of Grade 2019, reported on the work of exchanging students’ academic situation with the head teacher and students’ parents, participating in class meetings, guiding the construction of class League branch, helping students with academic difficulties, and visiting classes and dormitories.

Liu Biao, the instructor of Party construction and counselor of Grade 2020, reported on the preparation of work report appraisal meeting for student Party branch secretaries, the promotion of Party member development, the regular meeting of monitors and League branch secretaries, the heart-to-heart talks with students with learning difficulties, and the in-depth visits to classes and dormitories.

II. Deputy Secretary Yu Xiaozhou conveyed the spirit of deputy secretary regular meeting and party-government meeting of the School, and arranged the work for the near term

1. Continue to promote the implementation of the “Five-One” project, establish a long-term mechanism, and encourage counselors, head teachers, and graduate supervisors to go deep into student groups and carry out heart to heart talks, so as to effectively master the students’ ideological trends and solve practical problems for them;

2. Continue to promote the employment work, systematically sort out the students taking postgraduate entrance examination, implement the requirements of job fair preparation system of the University, make employment account, and strengthen the guidance and provide accurate assistance, to effectively improve the students’ employment quality;

3. Continue to implement the work requirements of “strict demands on ourselves in CUG”, help students establish the awareness of rules and bottom line, and strictly implement the requirements of relevant education management system of the University, so as to achieve the awareness, process and implementation in place;

4. Strengthen the civilization construction of students’ dormitory, carry out work investigation and thinking, start to formulate relevant system documents and work plans, strengthen dormitory visits, and give play to the exemplary and leading role of student party members and backbones;

5. Strengthen the systematic design thinking of student activities, closely follow the Centennial theme of the founding of the Party, focus on the main task of the University and School and the improvement of students’ quality, stick to the main work line of advancing League building through Party building and promoting class building through League building, and make overall arrangement and planning design of student related activities in this year;

6. Launch the work related to 2021 China College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award;

7. Continue to promote mental health education, strengthen the connection with the counseling center of the University, to integrate resources and seek support.

III. At the meeting, the participants exchanged and discussed the ideological trends of students returning to school, and studied and deployed on the follow-up key work.
