Online Branch Thematic Party Day in February Launched by the Party Branch Directly Under the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information

   At 15:00 p.m. on February 27, 2020, members of the Party branch directly under the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information attended the thematic Party day activities in February through the Internet, for in-depth study of general secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech on epidemic prevention and control, and the spirit of the relevant documents of the CPC Central Committee, the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Organization Department of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, and for massed learning of the deeds of advanced figures in epidemic prevention and control. Du Yu presided over the meeting and led the study, and all Party members of the branch participated in the study.

Du Yu led the Party branch members to learn the contents of the speech delivered by General Secretary Xi at the meeting on overall promotion of COVID-19 prevention and control and economic and social development work deployment. In his speech, the General Secretary reviewed and summarized the epidemic prevention and control work in the previous period, and fully affirmed the Party members, medical personnel, PLA officers and soldiers and the masses who had made outstanding contributions and displayed lofty spirit in epidemic prevention control. He made a comprehensive summary and review of the work done by the Party and the state in the epidemic prevention and control, and emphasized and deployed the key work that needs to be done well at the present stage.

Du Yu led the members of the Party branch to study the “Notice of the CPC Central Committee on Strengthening the Party’s Leadership and Providing a Strong Political Guarantee for Winning the War of Epidemic Prevention and Control”, conveyed the relevant requirements of the Central Committee for Party committees at all levels and Party members, and discussed how Party members of the Party branch should stick to their posts and do a good job in the education and management of students during the anti epidemic period.

Du Yu led the members of the branch to learn the “Notice on Conveying the Tips on Epidemic Prevention and Control of the Organization Department of the Provincial Party Committee” issued by the Organization Department of CPC Committee of the University, further strengthened the political responsibilities of all Party members and comrades during the epidemic period, and called on all Party members to actively participate in the community epidemic prevention work under the conditions allowed, so as to jointly contribute their own strength to the fight against COVID-19.

Du Yu and the members of the branch learned the deeds of the advanced figures in the fight against COVID-19, and introduced Comrade Peng Yinhua and Liu Zhiming in detail. He also paid tribute to Zhang Dingyu, the president of Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital, Zheng Yong, the people’s policeman who died on duty, Xia Sisi, a doctor of Union Hospital who practiced the oath with her life, Hua Yuchen, the volunteer representative and a teacher of Wuhan Ganghua Primary School, Liu Yanhua, a doctor of China University of Geosciences, Xu Ziyang, the student of our University who fought together with his father to build Huoshenshan Hospital, Luo Ling, an alumnus of our School, and made a detailed introduction to their touching deeds. He explained and publicized their heroic and selfless spirit of serving the public, and put forward corresponding requirements for Party members and comrades to stick to their posts and do their work well with quality and quantity during the anti epidemic period.
