School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information launches the Theme-focused education review conference

On November 6, in accordance with CUG’s arrangements for theme-focused education of “Remaining true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission firmly in mind”, the School convened a special inspection session for theme-focused education, laid stress on checking the serious issues in contrast with the Party constitution and rules, found out the reasons from the thoughts in accordance with the requirements of “remaining true to our original aspiration, assuming our mission, finding out the gap and stressing on implementation”, made clear the improvement emphasis and direction and further deepened the theme-focused education. Comrade Liu Guohua from Theme-focused Education Guiding Group attended the session. The session was chaired by Qu Xianghua, the Party secretary of the School, and the leaders, members of Party committee, directors of Level-3 units and the secretaries of the Party branch attended the session.

At the session, Qu Xianghua, the secretary of Party Committee, based on the serious issues pointed out by General Secretary Xi Jinping at central theme-focused education working conference, contrasted them with the Party constitution and the Party discipline, with the new expectations of teachers and students for the work, with the advanced models, combined with the key working points, introduced the progress and achievements in improvement and correction one by one.  

In view of their own problems, the members of the Party committee, in combination with the shortcomings and specific problems in the work, from the aspects of serving teachers and students, serving the society, from the aspect of correct political stance, ideological consciousness, competence, moral cultivation, work style and image, deeply analyzed the existing problems in ideology, closely related to the Party constitution and "18 yes or no", put themselves, responsibilities and work into place.

Secretary Qu Xianghua pointed out in his concluding speech that through review and discussion, they further identified the problems and gaps existing in the leadership team and members of the Party committee, clarified the direction of efforts, and laid a solid foundation for further improving the implementation of rectification and promoting the School's work.
