Graduate Candidate Admission Quota Allocation Plan of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information (Trial)

I. Graduate Candidate Admission Quota Allocation Plan

Basic standard

(1) Bilateral selection is adopted between the graduate candidates and the masters supervisors and is subject to the gross quota for the masters degree programs. The quota allocated in this plan does not represents the final number of the enrolled students.

(2) Only the masters supervisor with the approved admission qualification has the admission qualification in the admission year.

(3) 3 basic quotas for a professor per year, 2 for associate professor and one for lecturer.

(4) 4 quotas per masters supervisor per year at most.

(5) Only 1 quota for a masters supervisor who firstly instructs the postgraduate independently.  

(6) 1 postgraduate for a full-time masters supervisor not in this School.

Increment standard

(1) 2 extra quotas per year for the research team during the research period, whose first principal presides the national major or key program or the program at the same level.

(2) 2 extra quotas per year for the one presiding the general program during the research period, international cooperative program and other programs at the same level as the first principal.

(3) 1 extra quota per year for the one during the research period who presides Youth Program of National Natural Science Foundation as the first principal.  

(4) 1 extra quota for the one in the next year with the increase in the received outlay from other units of RMB 300,000.00 Yuan in the last year. 1 extra quota for the one in the next year with the increase in the received outlay of RMB 100000.00 Yuan in the field of art in the last year.  

(5) 2 extra quota for the selected candidate of state-level talents programs (Four-Youth, Outstanding Youth, Yangtze and Ten-Thousand Program) per year; 1 extra quota for the selected candidate of the talents programs at the province and ministry level per year.

(6) 1 extra quota for the one in the next year who publishes the papers at the level of T1 or above as the first author or the corresponding author.

(7) 4 extra quotas in the next year for the team winning the second prize for teaching, science and technology at the province and ministry level and above in the last year; 8 quotas in the next year  for the team winning the second prize for teaching, science and technology at the state-level in the last year.

Decrement standard

(1) Minus 1 quota in the next year for the one with the accumulatively received outlay less than RMB 100,000.00 Yuan in the past 3 years (RMB 30,000.00 Yuan for art).

(2) The full-time master’s supervisor, not in School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information cannot admit the postgraduate if there is no teaching and scientific research outlay received by this School in the last year.  


II. Ph. D Candidate Admission Quota Allocation Plan


II.1 Ph. D candidate admission quota will be allocated according to the actual approved admission plan.

III. Notes

1The statistical date of this plan ends at Dec. 31 of the previous year of the admission year.

2The outlay mentioned in this plan refers to the one transferred to School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information from the units outside CUG.

3Program, paper and prize mentioned in this plan refer to the achievement obtained by School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information as the first unit.

4As to the team award, the quota will be allocated by the first principal and the allocated objects include the members of the scientific research team and the awarded team.  

The team member shall be governed by the name of the formal application or the honor certificate.

5The research period of the program mentioned in this plan  excludes the increased time due to the delay in conclusion.  

6The newly employed teacher is not restricted with the decrement standard in case that the service time is less than 3 years.  

7If the quotas of the postgraduate candidates admitted by the masters  supervisor in this year exceed the approved quotas in this plan, it can reserve the test-free recommended postgraduate candidates, however, it cannot enroll any uniform examination students in this year.

8In case that the planned admission quota of a certain masters program exceeds the allocated gross quota  for the masters program, based on the bilateral selection between the teachers and the students, the students can be enrolled by the masters supervisor with the enrolled students less than 4 students.

9Actual admission quota =basic standard quota+ increment standard quota-decrement standard quota, but it shall not exceed 4.

10This plan will be implemented as of Mar. 5, 2020.

11This plan shall be interpreted by Joint Conference of the Party Committee and the Administration.
