Department of Communication Engineering actively builds the practice bases in accordance with the teaching plan and teaching objectives. At present, it owns 580m2 teaching labs, including Communication System Platform Lab, Data Communication Lab, Optical Communication Lab, Mobile Communication System Lab, OTN and IPRAN Lab, with the total value of instruments and equipment up to RMB 9000000.00 Yuan. In addition, it has 6 off-campus practice bases and the average practice outlay per student is RMB 950.00 Yuan.

After continuous efforts, this Department has built many off-campus practice bases with many enterprises, as shown in Table 2.

With the development of the in-campus and off-campus practice bases, the practice and training teaching of Department of Communication Engineering has taken on the trend of multiple development. Both of the in-campus and off-campus practice bases are supplementary to each other and they can satisfy the basic requirements on practice teaching and provide the direct experience in practice and operation of the enterprises as well. Based on the combination of integration of theory with practice, the student can understand the actual situation and development trend of the industry and make more achievements.
