Notice of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) on the Issuance of the “Assessment and Evaluation Index System for Undergraduate Class Teachers of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information (Revised)”

All undergraduate class teachers and all faculty members:

In order to strengthen the construction of undergraduate class teachers and improve the enthusiasm, initiative and standardization of class teachers, the School has issued the “Assessment and Evaluation Index System for Undergraduate Class Teachers of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information (Trial)” (JDXZ [2019] No. 05) on the basis of full research and extensive solicitation of opinions. According to the relevant requirements of the “Implementation Plan for Employment and Entrepreneurship of School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan)” (Trial) (JDDZZ [2020] No. 05), the School has revised this document, which is hereby printed and distributed to you. Please comply with it.

Main observation points

1. Work attitude (10 points)

1.1 Initiative (5 points)

(1) Strong sense of responsibility, a good teacher, good conduct, love student  education and management;

(2) Able to work independently, with strong organizational leadership and management ability;

(3) Actively participate in various business learning and training activities uniformly organized by the University and School;

(4) Be able to take the initiative to complete the relevant work assigned by the School and relevant departments.

1.2 Work specification (5 points)

(1) Attend the class teacher working meeting organized by the School and all grades on time, and there is no behavior of being late or absent for no reason;

(2) Keep the work account in time, and the content of the class teacher's work record book is detailed;

(3) Daily education and management can be carried out in accordance with requirements and specifications without major lack of work.

2. Work completion (40 points)

2.1 Actively carry out ideological and political education (10 points)

(1) The effect of ideal and belief education is good. Organize or participate in class theme education activities at least twice a semester;

(2) Understand the basic situation of students and have a heart to heart talk with each student in the class at least once a semester;

2.2 Standardize class construction and management (10 points)

(1) The class committee and the Youth League branch are running well, and the class work is planned and summarized;

(2) Do a good job in the cultivation of student backbone, and hold student cadre work meetings at least twice a semester;

(3) Standardized the evaluation, reward and subsidy affairs, without major work mistakes and public opinion crisis;

(4) The basic civilization construction of the class dormitory is good, and visit each student dormitory at least twice a semester.

2.3 Effectively carry out study style construction and employment guidance (10 points)

(1) Create the good learning style, and the class students have a correct learning attitude and good grades. Conduct at least 1 class meeting for building academic style every semester;

(2) Actively do a good job in academic guidance, guide students to love their majors and carry out academic assistance;

(3) Guide students to participate in summer social practice, extracurricular scientific and technological activities and various competitions, and encourage students to participate in the teachers research projects;

(4) Strengthen employment guidance and assistance for postgraduate entrance examination, and help students clarify their direction and objectives.

2.4 Do a solid job in safety, stability and mental health education (10 points)

(1) Strengthen the safety theme education, timely investigate and report the potential safety hazards of the class, and there are no major safety accidents in the class;

(2) Pay close attention to the dynamics of class students, properly handle emergencies and report them in time;

(3) Attach importance to students' mental health education, clarify the key focus objects, and do a good job in crisis intervention. There are no major events caused by psychological problems in the class.

3. Work effectiveness (50 points)

3.1 work performance (20 points)

(1) The overall academic performance of students in Grades 1-3 is excellent  (calculated according to the passing rate of the class in the academic year); excellent employment in graduation grade (calculated according to the employment rate of the class);

(2) The class has strong cohesion and outstanding achievements, and has won individual or collective honors and commendations at or above the school level;

(3) Students in the class have a strong sense of dedication and outstanding ability, actively move closer to the party organization, and undertake important student work in the student organizations of the University and School.

3.2 Evaluation by student affairs leading group (10 points)

Actively cooperate with the student affairs leading group in various work, get familiar with the situation of students in the class, communicate with grade counselors in time, and the work effect has been generally recognized by the student affairs leading group.

3.3 Student satisfaction (15 points)

Be able to actively go deep into the class and students, and be good at using the work form loved by the students, with good results and high satisfaction.

3.4 Peer evaluation (5 points)

Actively cooperate with all the work of the department, and the work effect is generally recognized by the teachers of the Department.

 

 

The assessment results are applied as follows:

1. Those with an assessment score of 60 or above are qualified, and the allowance for class teacher shall be paid in full. At the same time, the student affairs leading group of the School will make a comprehensive consideration of the class teacher's evaluation score, daily performance, responsibility and other aspects; 20% will be selected as the school-level excellent class teachers, who will be commended at the end of the year in the concluding meeting, issued excellence certificates and given an additional reward of 1,000 Yuan, given priority in the evaluation of the university-level "excellent class teacher" selection, and given priority in the promotion of higher professional and technical positions.

2. Those with the assessment score of 60 or below are unqualified, and the qualification for evaluation in the current year will be cancelled;

3. If the employment rate of the class led by the class teacher in the graduation grade reaches 100%, an individual reward of 2000 Yuan will be given. If the employment rate reaches the employment rate target of the development plan, an individual reward of 1000 Yuan will be given;

4. The School carries out the assessment of class teachers according to the academic year. This index system will be implemented from the academic year of 2020-2021 and is interpreted by the student affairs leading group of the School.
