On the afternoon of April 16th, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee, Wu Di, and Associate Dean, Huang Tianye, led a team of teacher party representatives and student party representatives from various departments to visit the Wuhan headquarters of Shenglong Electric, located in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone. The purpose was to conduct a "Learning the Spirit of the Two Sessions, Discussing School-Enterprise Cooperation" collaborative learning and building activity. Deng Jianzhong, President of Shenglong Electric Group's Beijing Entrepreneurship Eight Company, was present at the event.

Upon arrival, the faculty and students toured the Shenglong Technology Exhibition, intelligent production lines, and the Shenglong Building's Lida Hall, gaining insights into the company's culture, development process, and achievements in technological innovation. The company's commitment to staying true to its roots while innovating and exploring industry frontiers, accelerating the development of new productive forces, left a deep impression on the faculty and students.

During the collaborative learning and building session, all participants together recited the oath of joining the Communist Party of China.

Deng Jianzhong warmly welcomed the faculty and students from the college and led a discussion on studying the important discourse of General Secretary Xi Jinping regarding the development of new productive forces. He emphasized that talent is the key resource for developing new productive forces, and the development of enterprises relies on the important support of high-quality and highly skilled talents. As a governing unit of the Excellent Engineer College of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Shenglong Electric should take this opportunity of collaborative learning and building to deepen school-enterprise cooperation, facilitate a smooth "talent pipeline," enable enterprises to acquire talents, students to acquire skills, and schools to achieve development, thus realizing complementary advantages and win-win results in school-enterprise development.

Huang Tianye introduced the basic situation of the college, disciplinary characteristics, research teams, and other aspects. He pointed out the broad cooperation space between the two sides in talent cultivation, scientific research, project application, and other areas, combining theoretical elements and practical requirements of new productive forces. He emphasized the need for both sides to strengthen communication, match what universities can offer with what enterprises need, adhere to a quality-oriented approach in talent cultivation, and further promote cooperation in industry-academia-research.

During the exchange session, faculty and students discussed and exchanged views with enterprise leaders and experts on learning and insights from the National "Two Sessions," talent cultivation, student employment, and technological needs.

After the meeting, faculty and students expressed that they had gained a lot from the visit.

Han Guangchao, Party Branch Secretary of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, said, "School-enterprise cooperation is the only way for the development of new engineering education. We, as professional teachers, should actively connect with the needs of enterprises and promote more substantive cooperation in talent cultivation and joint research projects."

Liu Biao, a senior class counselor, said, "We hope to bring more students into enterprises, directly connect supply and demand with enterprises, and provide better employment opportunities for students to achieve high-quality employment."

Student party member Zhou Haoran excitedly expressed, "Theory is superficial without practice. This visit has made me more clear about my future direction of efforts. I also hope that the college can organize more similar activities in the future so that we can directly understand enterprises and the industry."

In recent years, the college has vigorously promoted school-enterprise cooperation and integrated the concept of integrating production and education and science and education throughout the entire process of talent cultivation. In the future, the college will continue to use party organization as a link, deepen cooperation between schools and enterprises in talent cultivation, scientific research, and student employment, form complementary advantages, and contribute wisdom and strength to promote the development of new productive forces and achieve high-level scientific and technological self-reliance.
